My first full day in the Army we were locked up in the barracks with nothing to do while the clerks worked on our paper work and about five of us spent eighteen hours at war with a nest full of wasps in the latrine. Two of us got stung. I killed three of the enemy with a tennis shoe. The only other thing I remember that day is some guy saying Ted Nugent “cranks”.
