I’ve been doing a lot of reading about the genetic history of man. It involves a lot of speculation about what life was like for preagricultural man and his forebearers, the Neanderthals and apes. Frankly, it doesn’t sound so bad. In modern society, we’ve become so dependent on technology… our cars, our televisions, our computers, our MP3 players, our robot vaginas. It would be nice to relinquish all that and walk barefoot on the open plains eating berries and bugs and the occasional animal you catch.
I think I’d like being a Neanderthal.
My Dad and I were doing Comedy Bits about this the other day. About how, unlike animals, humans had to come up with more and more bullshit to Live.
“Cold! Need FIRE! Still cold! Need FURS! Need CLUB to hunt! Need build HUT! Need STONE build HOUSE!” on and on until a few years later “Man, I gotta get a CD PLAYER for my CAR!!” and “I’m horny! Gotta go online to look at GIRLS!!”
Monkeys laugh at us.
yeah, i’d bet a majority of neanderthal didn’t even have a starbucks, free wi-fi, etc.
they were just soooo stupid.
Well, I think they did have paid wi-fi. That’s how they were able to email each other Power Point Presentation describing the invention of fire.
