I was watching an interesting show last night that mentioned a kind of sea creature called the Tunicate. It’s a creature that upon entering adulthood affixes itself to a rock for the remainder of its life. Since it no longer needs motor action, it then consumes its own brain and central nervous system.

This gave me an interesting idea for a horror movie where the DNA of a Tunicate is mixed with the DNA of humans, creating people who at a certain point saw open their own head and eat their own brain. This would be made all the more ghastly by the solid scientific basis of the premise. “Night Of the Brain Eaters”?
