But the best Rocket Song is without a doubt Guns N’ Roses’ “Rocket Queen”! Especially at the very end when Axl tells us “All I ever wanted was for you to know that I caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare!” Except for The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame – Axl don’t give a fuck about that shit and that’s why he’s The Best!
Yeah, Rocket Queen is the best. I should add some GnR to my cover collection. There was a guy who played the open mike circuit around here – had some kind of mental issue and had these low gravelly vocals – he used to cover “Patience.” But because of his condition “All we need is just a little patience” came out in a very demanding, impatient way.
Maybe Ralph Kramden could have covered that song. “Jesus Christ Alice… all you need is just a little patience! One of these days….”
“Patience” is as great as “Rocket Queen”. I’ve been listening to “Chinese Democracy” a lot and I’m genuinely pleased with Axl’s resonse to that gay ass Hall Of Fame. Bob Pollard has a Boston Spaceships song where he sings “She likes Guns N’ Roses. She says Axl’s all right” Fuck, yeah!
