Grammar Nazis

Yesterday, both my dad and I noticed that a certain LA Times article had two paragraphs in a row that began with the word “But.” (Most would consider this a no-no for even a high school essay.) My father, a former editor, said, “It was taking a hard line against this sort of thing that allowed me to so quickly rise up the editorial ranks at Time Magazine.”

I added, “you might say you ‘kicked but’!”

I just sold a sit com based on that story to CBS for ten million dollars. I see Alan Alda as Mister Forbis and the Monguloid Who Rides Around On A Tricycle In The Waffle House Parking Lot as “Lil’ Wil”.
