Many people do not object to an experimenter fixing electrodes to their scalp in order to study their brain waves. They do, however, object to having a portion of their skull removed, even temporarily, so that electrodes can be stuck directly into the living brain tissues.
Boy, they object even when the skull removal is only temporary. People are a bunch of babies.
Whatever happened to performing experiments on people against their will? Were these guys so busy studying Science in school they were to busy to watch low budget 1950’s Sci Fi Movies? Don’t Universities have courses on Abduction and Confinement? I guess Frat Guys don’t go into Science.
Has anybody tried the “Space Helmet On A Gorilla” thing? I had high hopes for that.
